Artful Storytelling

Photography, for me, begins with paying attention.

Light crossing a surface. A shadow giving shape to something ordinary. The small interactions between people that pass in a moment and then disappear.

These things rarely announce themselves. They simply happen and move on.

A photograph gives them somewhere to stay.

Later, when the images sit together as a complete gallery, they begin to tell a quieter story. Not just the obvious moments, but the atmosphere of the time, the small details, the rhythm of the day as it unfolded.

Looking through the photographs again years later can feel a little like revisiting that moment in life, page by page.
